The story

I was unable to locate a decent headstart for a type-only site, so in my research, legibelle.scss was born

We created Type Anything in the need of a simple tool to create great font combinations. To put focus on typography. Type Anything lets you customize the most necessary font settings for your next project. From font families and letter spacing to font weights. Our goal was to create a great user experience, whilst working on the perfect match.

For Headings in serif, you can choose between Georgia, Palatino and Times (News Roman variant for windows) either Regular or Bold.

The most legible sans-serif font at 16px is tahoma, although the lowercase a it's hinderous.

For sans-serif headers You can choose between Verdana, Tahoma and Arial (Helvetica)

For the smallest copy sans, the very best option is hands down Verdana

Altough Trebuchet is a gorgeous font, the all or nothing design decisions made it a thin / bold weight font with nothing inbetween

An optimal line length for testing its a 66 characters textline writting two consecutive alphabets plus numbers from 0 to 10 with spaces between sets like this:


Although the line contain's 66 characters, it's roughtly equivalent to a normal 88 chrs

Ekenmer, Harry Roberts Ignatius Press, San Francisco ()La gente hace la grid separada de la tipografia, se fabrica primero la grid y se divide segun los tamaños del navegador, pero si la unidad basica es el tamaño de letra, al final tienes la letra ajustandose al tamaño del grid, porque una letra de 16 no entra en una columna de 1/16. Luego la columna gana la partida (es demasiado complicado cambiar TODA la estructura de una grid, pero muy facil reducir el font-size al %80), y por eso tenemos letras que son casi flash-pixel.
